01 · OVERVIEW
Understanding the discipline
Men’s Artistic Gymnastics is a competitive discipline involving six apparatus: floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar. Each apparatus has its own technical demands, judging criteria and competition requirements.
Educational information only. Gymnastics skills, apparatus use, acrobatics, aerial movements and advanced physical exercises must be learned progressively with qualified coaching, suitable equipment and appropriate safety arrangements.
04 · RESPONSIBLE PARTICIPATION
Safety and good practice
Use properly maintained gymnastics equipment and suitable landing surfaces. Follow qualified instructors' guidance, respect individual ability and progress gradually. Do not attempt advanced skills, flips, vaults, trampoline routines or unsupported partner lifts from online instructions alone. Stop training when injured or unwell and seek appropriate professional advice.
